Description

A quick and delicious spinach and feta flatbread pizza featuring fresh spinach, tangy feta, and melted mozzarella on a crispy flatbread base, perfect for a flavorful and easy meal or snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Flatbread Base

  • 1 piece flatbread

Cheeses

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese

Vegetables & Aromatics

  • 1/2 cup torn fresh spinach
  • 1/2 cup sliced red onion
  • 3 cloves sliced garlic

Seasonings & Oils

  • Extra virgin olive oil for drizzling
  • Garlic powder (amount to taste)
  • Black pepper (amount to taste)
  • Sea salt (to sprinkle)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to get it ready for baking the flatbread pizza.
  2. Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the flatbread flat on top to ensure easy cleanup and prevent sticking.
  3. Add Mozzarella and Seasonings: Evenly spread 1 cup of shredded mozzarella over the flatbread, then sprinkle garlic powder and black pepper over the cheese to enhance the flavor.
  4. Layer the Toppings: Distribute torn fresh spinach, sliced red onion, sliced garlic, and crumbled feta cheese evenly over the mozzarella. Finally, sprinkle with sea salt.
  5. Drizzle with Olive Oil and Bake: Lightly drizzle extra virgin olive oil over the entire flatbread, then bake it in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the edges of the flatbread turn golden and crispy.
  6. Cool and Serve: Remove the flatbread from the oven and allow it to cool slightly for a few minutes. Slice into wedges and serve warm for the best taste experience.

Notes

  • Use fresh spinach for the best flavor and texture.
  • Adjust the amount of garlic powder and pepper to your preference.
  • For a crispier crust, use a preheated baking stone if available.
  • Can be customized with additional toppings such as olives or sun-dried tomatoes.
  • Leftovers can be reheated in the oven to maintain crispiness.
