Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 1 (15 oz.) can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup red bell pepper, chopped
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup corn
- 1 tbsp. Tajin seasoning, divided
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1/2 cup guacamole
- 4 slices tomato
- 4 pieces leaf lettuce
Instructions
- Preheat the Grill: Heat your grill to medium heat to prepare for cooking the patties evenly without burning.
- Mash and Mix Ingredients: In a medium bowl, place the drained and rinsed black beans and mash them until mostly smooth using a fork or potato masher. Add the chopped red bell pepper, onion, corn, 2 teaspoons of Tajin seasoning, egg, and panko breadcrumbs to the bowl. Stir everything together until well combined to form the burger mixture.
- Form and Grill Patties: Shape the mixture into 4 equally sized patties. Place them on the preheated grill and cook for about 5 minutes on each side, or until the patties are firm and have grill marks. During grilling, sprinkle the remaining 1 teaspoon of Tajin seasoning over the patties for added flavor.
- Assemble Burgers and Serve: Place each patty on a hamburger bun, and top with guacamole, tomato slices, and leaf lettuce. Serve immediately for the best taste, and refrigerate any leftovers promptly.
