Ingredients
Scale
Sliders
- 1 pound thinly sliced roast beef
- 6 slider buns
- 6 slices provolone cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
Dipping Sauce
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Optional
- Horseradish sauce for serving
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F to prepare for baking the sliders.
- Caramelize Onions: In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the thinly sliced onion until caramelized and soft, about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally to avoid burning.
- Prepare Dipping Sauce: In a small saucepan, combine the beef broth, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Heat gently until warm, then transfer the mixture into small individual bowls for dipping.
- Assemble Sliders: Slice the slider buns in half horizontally. On each bottom half, layer roast beef, caramelized onions, and a slice of provolone cheese. Cover with the top halves of the buns.
- Wrap and Bake: Wrap the assembled sliders tightly in foil. Place them on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the cheese melts and the sliders are heated through.
- Serve: Remove the foil carefully. Serve the warm sliders alongside the beef broth for dipping and offer horseradish sauce on the side if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, brush the tops of the buns with melted butter and a sprinkle of garlic powder before baking.
- You can substitute the beef broth with au jus from your own roast beef for a richer dipping sauce.
- Slider buns can be replaced with small dinner rolls if preferred.
