Ingredients
Scale
Chicken Marinade
- 2 chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp chili sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
Ramen and Broth
- 2 packs instant ramen noodles
- 4 cups chicken broth
Sauce and Seasoning
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 green onions, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, chili sauce, and honey. Add the bite-sized chicken pieces and toss well to coat. Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Cook the Chicken: Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken pieces and cook until they are browned on the outside and fully cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
- Add Flavors: Stir in the minced garlic and paprika to the cooked chicken. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant and aromatic, being careful not to burn it.
- Prepare the Ramen: Pour the chicken broth into the pot with the chicken and bring it to a boil. Add the instant ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions, usually about 3-4 minutes, until the noodles are tender.
- Make the Sauce: Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly. Season with salt and pepper to your taste.
- Serve: Ladle the fiery chicken ramen into bowls and garnish generously with sliced green onions. Serve hot for a deliciously creamy and spicy meal.
Notes
- For extra heat, add more chili sauce or sprinkle with red chili flakes.
- You can substitute heavy cream with coconut milk for a dairy-free version.
- If preferred, swap chicken breasts for thighs for juicier meat.
- Use low-sodium soy sauce to reduce salt content.
- Make sure not to overcook the ramen noodles; follow package timing closely.
