Ingredients
Scale
Chicken and Pasta
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 8 oz cooked pasta (such as penne or rotini)
Dressing and Toppings
- 1 cup ranch dressing
- ½ cup bacon bits (cooked and drained)
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend works well)
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients. In a large bowl, mix together the cooked chicken, cooked pasta, ranch dressing, bacon bits, and shredded cheese until all ingredients are evenly coated and well combined.
- Transfer to Baking Dish. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly for uniform baking.
- Bake Until Melted. Place the baking dish in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly, and the dish is heated through.
Notes
- Use freshly cooked chicken or a rotisserie chicken for best flavor.
- Feel free to substitute ranch dressing with a homemade or low-fat version for a lighter dish.
- Crisp bacon bits add a nice texture contrast; you can also use fresh cooked bacon chopped finely.
- Cheese varieties such as mozzarella, Monterey Jack, or a cheese blend can customize the flavor.
- Serve hot and enjoy with a side salad or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
