Description

A refreshing and cozy Apple Cider Float featuring creamy vanilla bean ice cream topped with cold apple cider, garnished with seasonal spices and apple slices. Perfect for a quick treat or autumn-inspired dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

Float Ingredients

  • 1 cup Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (8 ounces)
  • 1 cup Cold Apple Cider (or sparkling apple cider)

Garnishes

  • Cinnamon Sugar (optional garnish)
  • Red Apple Slices
  • Cinnamon Stick
  • Whole Star Anise

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glass: Place the vanilla bean ice cream in a tall glass, filling it about two-thirds of the way full to create the base for your float.
  2. Add the Apple Cider: Slowly pour the cold apple cider over the ice cream. If using sparkling apple cider, pour carefully to manage the bubbles and prevent overflow.
  3. Garnish the Float: Decorate with a fanned slice of red apple, a cinnamon stick, whole star anise, and sprinkle cinnamon sugar along the side of the glass and on top for added flavor and visual appeal.
  4. Serve and Enjoy: Serve the apple cider float immediately to enjoy the perfect balance of creamy and crisp flavors before the ice cream melts.

Notes

  • For a fizzy twist, use sparkling apple cider instead of still apple cider.
  • Adjust the amount of cinnamon sugar based on your sweetness preference.
  • To make this dessert vegan, substitute the vanilla bean ice cream with a dairy-free alternative.
  • Serve immediately as the ice cream will melt quickly once combined with the cider.
